im been goalie for 2 years and i was wondering what makes a good goalie? and how do i become a good goalie? I was also thinking about getting my own equipment alway but i only have 400$ on everything. is that possible?

new hockey stick

i am a high school freshman and this is my third year playing field hockey. i have a grays composite stick and i have been using it for about 2 years. i am a very competitive defensive player does i want to buy a new stick. i am looking for a stick that is easy to stop the ball with and good hitting power. i was looking at the TK ATK1GT08 stick and i was curious how that is. i don't want to spend too much money no more than about $175 and i want a composite stick.

does anybody have any suggestions for what i am looking for?

Are there helmets available for field players (not goalie)-I was told soft helmets are allowed? My dd has played field hockey for about 6 years had a head injury unrelated to field hockey so we are considering let her play again with maximum protection.

new rule: safety stickers?

Hey,

So I've heard something about safety stickers being required for all players for the upcoming season. Supposedly it is required that these stickers be placed on every player's stick to ensure that everyone's stick is legal.

Has anyone heard of this new rule or know how you go about getting these stickers?

How to clean pads?

To buy new gear or not?

Hi,

I have been playing field hockey for two years, goalie, and in the past I have been using my schools gear. The leg guards and kickers work fine but the straps broke so I am in the process of finding new ones for them. However, while I am doing this I am wondering if it would be beneficial or not to just invest in my own gear, leg guards and kickers only (I have the other gear). If I were to order new gear I would probably get TK GX 3.0 leg guards and kickers. Do you think it would be worth it to invest in these or to just replace the straps on the old ones?

also, one last note, I live in CA and as far as I know there is nowhere i can go to try any of the gear on

I play defense and I recently played with a brine bullet! i loved it , but it got too small and I used it for about 5 years..
